Why the Greens dominate Bristol's online politics | Bristol24-7
"what they bring to the table are some basic journalistic instincts that the other parties either lack or are withholding. These qualities might be raw but they include natural curiosity; an eye for a story; the desire to dig beneath the surface; a willingness to question authority; disdain for the ‘party line’ and that quality Paxman summed up as, “why is this lying bastard lying to me?”. All are alive and well on the Green blogs alongside an uninhibited willingness to deal in ideas."

Interesting idea but looks a bit SWS which might put people off. But isn't employment doomed anyway? Worker #coops anyone?

Courageous, consistent and persistent Peter Tatchell deserves Liberal award Posted by Glenn Vowles
"I am honoured, but quite surprised, to win Liberal Voice of the Year, given that I'm a left-wing Green." Credit to the LibDems for not fiddling the vote when he won.

Interesting idea but it requires javascript and cookies and google and bleargh. Do I want my CPU fan running that much just to blog? I'll have to explore a bit more before I decide. Maybe a mobile/lite version will appear soon.

My only prediction for 2010 and it ain’t pretty
"I would like to think that people are smart enough to see the coming danger – especially those of us in the tech industry – and do something to stem this tide. Sadly though we’re too worried about some new shiny toy. Too worried that we don’t have enough followers. Too worried about whether we are among the first to be using some stupid ass service."

ASA Adjudication on easyJet Airline Co Ltd
The cheap airlines seem to get slapped often for misleading advertising. This one is notable mainly because easyJet was wrong every time for last summer's sale ads.

BBC HD service draws complaints
Kudos to the BBC for actually reporting this, but digital picture quality is all about bitrates and a drop from 16Mbps to 9Mbps like BBC did in August must harm quality unless the old encoders were really poor. You can't squeeze a quart into a pint pot.
